Grievance Redressal

Something gone wrong? Here is exactly who to contact, what to expect, and how to escalate if we do not put it right.

Last reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors on 1 August 2026. This document applies to all customers of Nawkar Finance Limited and is available in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and Tamil at every branch on request.

How to raise a complaint

You can raise a complaint at any branch, by phone, by email or by post. Please include your loan account number, your registered mobile number, and a short description of what happened. Every complaint is logged and given a ticket number, which is sent to you by SMS.

We resolve most complaints within 7 working days. The outer limit is 30 days from the date of receipt.

Level 1 — Branch or customer service

Speak to the branch manager where your loan was sanctioned, or call our customer service desk on 1800 000 0000 (Mon – Sat, 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM IST), or write to info@nawkar.in.

Expected response: 7 working days.

Level 2 — Grievance Redressal Officer

If Level 1 has not resolved the matter, or you have not received a reply within 7 working days, escalate to our Grievance Redressal Officer.

Level 4 — RBI Ombudsman

If your complaint is not resolved within 30 days of being lodged with us, or you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Reserve Bank of India Ombudsman under the Reserve Bank – Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, 2021.

Filing a complaint with the Ombudsman is free. No agent or intermediary is required, and anyone offering to file it for you for a fee is not acting on the RBI's behalf.

What we publish

A summary of complaints received, resolved and pending, along with the top grounds of complaint, is disclosed in our annual financial statements as required by the Reserve Bank of India.

A copy of this grievance redressal mechanism is displayed prominently at every branch, in English and in the local language.
